How to install (Windows)

Jabber should already be pre-installed on all Curtin Staff computers. If you are unable to find it, lodge a request by calling 9266 9000 and selecting option 3.

Once installed, navigate to

Start Menu -> All Programs -> Cisco Jabber -> Cisco Jabber

If prompted to sign in, use your OASIS credentials, select to sign in on startup and click Sign In.

Jabber should now be running and you should be able to Instant Message other Curtin staff (try using the search function).

First Use: If you have Outlook open, we recommend you restart the program, this should complete the installation of Jabber fully.

Optional: If you would like Jabber to start when your computer turns on, navigate to:

File -> Options -> Start Jabber when my Computer Starts -> OK

How to install (Mac)

Jabber should already be pre-installed on all Curtin Staff computers. If you are unable to find it, lodge a request by calling 9266 9000 and selecting option 3.

Once installed, open Cisco Jabber from the dock.

If prompted to sign in, use your OASIS credentials, select to sign in on startup and remember password and click Sign In. If keychain prompts you, select Always Allow.

Jabber should now be running and you should be able to Instant Message other Curtin staff (try using the search function).

How to install (iPhone, iPad, Android, etc)

You can download and install Cisco Jabber onto your smart phone or tablet by searching for ‘Cisco Jabber’ in the App Store or Google Play.
